How can you avoid needing to use the bathroom while traveling?

My family(parents and two sisters) will be flying to Amsterdam from Little Rock for vacation(I think we stop in Atlanta). With the way the seating works on the bigger planes sitting in the middle there are so many people you have to get over, and we are always in a rush at the airport, Im the youngest, I always feel embarrassed to have annoy everyone and stop everything. Is it possible to sleep through the whole trip??
