Do you know anything about the Harry Potter ride in Orlando?
The ride is actually pretty simple. Your bench that is four across is attached to end of a KuKa robot arm. These are the same robots you will see in films of car manufacturing plants. These Kuka arms run along a track in the floor and take you in and out of various design elements such as the screens which are acutally bowl shaped and various manquiens and other robots such as the whomping willow. These Kuka arms are very sensative and there are a number of safety measures that can easily be tripped that is why the ride seems to break down a lot. Its not a break as much as the trip of some sort of safety alarm. At which point the ride needs to be reset. This takes a lot of time as the ride is quite complicated mechanically
